Oldbuddy crashed and burned
« on: August 29, 2009, 12:38:48 am »
If you hang around this Forum much, you have probably seen me comment about earning $6K a month online. Well my money making machine just took a direct hit right in the jackpot slot and now it's back to about $1,000 a month. Have no fear, if I did it once I can do it again, just watch me. I just don't want anyone calling me a liar when they find out, because you read it here first.

A tough lesson in internet marketing... the most difficult part is consistency :)

Old Buddy, I am so sorry.  I wish you could tell us what happened, but I guess you would if you could.  I have no doubt you will do it again.  How long have you been doing this?  I have seen your posting and am curious about you and how you got started.  If you would like to tell about yourself I think people would be interested.  If not, pardon my asking.  I can just tell that you probably have led an interesting life.

Don't worry, there was just a lot of confusion, he should still be making money off of the program that everyone thought was "crashing and burning." It's just going private.
He'll probably keep earning that much.

$1000 a month is still very impressive.  :notworthy: I'm sure you'll figure out a way to get your numbers back up there as it seems like you have alot of supporters who admire your methods an honesty.

Sorry to hear of your turn.  I think you will manage to get back up there.  We would all be envious of $1000 a month but I sure it's kick in the gut for you.  I am trying to but haven't found the right way to go about it.  Good luck!

1000.00 a month is still not bad. I would be sick though, to drop that much, but like you said..if you did it before, you can do it again. Good luck. :)

I could tell you what happened in my opinion, but it hasn't finished happening yet. That may take months, so I'm just moving on and trying to diversify more this time.

Honestly how I got started was clicking ads for a penny each, then learning how to get massive amounts of referrals. No doubt that referrals play a key part in any of this stuff for us non-gurus.

I was born and raised in a ghetto in Los Angeles known as Watts and my dad was killed racing cars when I was 3, I had a younger infant sister and a one year old brother. My mom was 21 and had never had a job in her life with no life insurance on my dad. I guess you could say we had it tough, but my mom never let us know it.

I determined early in life that I was going to live in a split level house and drive nice cars, so I didn't give up until I got there. I started a computer business at 40 and retired from it in 2000, when I sold it to my head programmer. I bought a brand new car every three years and passed the old one down to my wife.

I needed something to do when I retired, so I got online and started learning and I still am every day.

That's the paper back version.

Did one of your programs go south?  I'm really curious as to what happened.

........Very interesting oldbuddy.......one day i would like to touch base with you on how you are able to get referrals........I consider myself a veteran on this site but i RESPECTFULLY TIP MY HAT TO YOU SIR, YOU ARE INDEED THE GRAND-MASTER.  I have referred several people to this site but to get them to work at it is nothing short of a miracle, they do good for a month then fizzle out and so do my earnings.  I sincerely like this site and you are a true inspiration to us all.  Thanks for listening, and thanks for the bio on yourself.  By the way, I am also a Californian and if you ever get out this way (Palm Springs area) I would be honored to buy you lunch and learn from your EXPERTISE. ------>> "mc1962"

Thanks for the compliment mc, but as you notice they don't allow us to establish personal contacts here very well. I moved to Oregon back in 1969, but do visit my uncle in Huntington Beach often. I also have a nephew in Palm Dessert, so who knows. I do have Skype running 24/7 though and would love to meet up sometime to compare notes.

Not sure it went south, but it did go private. They are still paying those who have not made a profit yet, but those of us that have are no longer earning. The plan is to start paying us from outside income later on if we remain active, which I will. The program is Ad-Ventures4u and I actually was making over $6,000 a month from it.
