Well that is an extremely difficult question - had a broken heart twice and I don't know that you ever completely 100% get over it but it gets better little by little.  In my case there was no going back to the relationship in either case so every day I had to remind myself of that and little by little it wasn't such an open wound.  Good luck to you - hope things get better for you soon.
