When do you think is the best time to buy a watermelon?

Waiting until after July 4th is what I've always heard, but if its sweet enough I will eat it anytime.

The best time to buy a watermelon is when the last one you bought is about gone and there are still more on the shelf. I had one last night and it was great!

Hmm...I never really knew. All I know is that its a summer fruit, but people (in the comments) are saying July. I guess I'll be buying some then.
