the swine flu is tragic and we need to find a cure for it as soom as possible.  the government is doing all they can do but we need to look elsewhere.

Same here. It's no worse than other kinds of flu anyway. I don't worry about it, but at the same time, I wash my hands before doing something that could cause me exposure to it. Like eating. But that's it other than not being stupid running into a room with sick people, ya know?  :)

It's really not that bad.  Just like the regular flu!

I don't think that it will be any worse than any other flu. I will just take one day at a time and stay away from people that are sick.

I do worry about the swine flu as much as I worry about other flu's.  Mostly not for myself but because my parents are aging and they get the flu shot every year, but still get the flu every year.  I never get a flu shot and never get the flu.  I think flu shots are a waste of time and money.  Wish I could convince my parents to leave them alone.  I do wash my hands at work often as I deal with the public, and I also use hand sanitizer when I get too busy to wash with soap and water while at work

The swine flu is known to be contracted often by young, healthy individuals.  The normal seasonal flu is not known for this.  Stop saying they're identical.

The swine flu is just as dangerous as the normal flu. It is just a different strand, which caused all of the hype from the government. The reason the flu spreads is because people are not smart enough to wash their hands when they have a chance, such as after using the bathroom. Then they open the door handle, and people get sick. Those type of people disgust me.

I'm not worried about it. I've heard that more people die form the flue that goes around every year than ther will be from the swine flu. Heck, some people die form just an ordinary virus because it ends up causing other problems.

the swine flu is not as bad as people are making it out to be. yes it can be fatle, but so can any other virus of flu. the people that died because of it waited to long to go to the dr. by then it had caused other problems that made things worse. where i live we have had 2 confirmed cases at my childs school and the school was cleaned and no problem since.my daughter knew the one child and she is fine.

To keep from getting any flu, you need to wash your hands after you have been out in public and don't touch your mouth, eyes and ears before you wash...If you do this, you will prevent a lot of disease.

I am not doing anything different from my normal routine. I am very hygene conscious anyway. I learned the other day that one of the dorms in a local college has had a breakout of the swine flu. I hope they get this under control soon!
