Do you go to the dentist for your cleaning every six months?

Oral hygiene starts with you. Do not forget to brush, floss and gargle every day. And, yes go to he hygienist on a regular basis.

Yes I make it a habit to go to my Dentist every six months, in fact I have a scheduled dental appointment coming up next month.

I can't remember exactly when I got my braces off, but I was about 14.  I am 31 now and haven't been to the dentist since then.

I actually do go to the Dentist every 6 months - I never miss an appointment. I brush my teeth just once per day, for about 3 months and I'm not so good at flossing. I find flossing very difficult, perhaps because I usually do it in front of the mirror.  I have heard a difference of opinions on flossing. My hygienist says you should floss every day, my old hygienist said that as I was having problems getting the floss between my teeth because my teeth were so close together, if the floss won't fit, neither will the bacteria! Mind you, this was some time ago and perhaps is a little out of date now.
