i dont really have cravings very often..but if i do i may eat a small amount to satisfy the craving ...

The best way to cut down on carb. intake is NOT to try going cold turkey. Too often when people try to go cold turkey for one of their addictions, they end up failing and repeating the habit. This is why so many people end up with "rollercoaster" diets; they will work hard-core on their diet's restrictions in the beginning, but end up relapsing into their old diet habits. And sometimes when they do relapse, it'll be even worse; they'll give up on their diet and then splurge on what they were trying to avoid while dieting.

The best way to reduce your carb. intake and to keep eating that way is to go about the process one step at a time. Instead of trying to avoid carbs., just learn about the different kinds of carbs. As you gain more knowledge about what you eat, you can begin to find healthier alternatives that may not taste any different for you. For example, since most of the spaghetti taste comes from the sauce and not from the pasta (noodles), perhaps switch to a whole-grain pasta; the amount of carbs. may not be any less, but because it is a complex carbohydrate, it takes more for the body to process and in the end is healthier for your body.

Also, don't be afraid to "cheat". But when you do, admit to yourself that that is what you are doing, and only "cheat" for that one time... For example, don't buy a 1/2 gallon of ice cream to satisfy that sugar craving since that will last for more than that one craving; instead just buy an ice cream cone to satisfy the immediate craving. You can "cheat" again, but again, only buy enough to satisfy the immediate craving. Similarly if you do get a craving, try to limit the amount of the "cheat" to satisfy the craving. If you get that sugar craving and buy an ice cream cone, don't finish off the cone if your craving gets satisfied after only a few bites; rather toss out the rest of the cone once you have satisfied that craving.

i just think that everybody should cut down on their carbs and sugar because, is not healthy... maybe try getting on a diet or exercise more that is more healthier  :) :)

If you eat certain foods with natural sugars in them, then this decreases your cravings. This is due to biology. From a biological standpoint, your body craves/requires a certain amount of all nutrients and minerals, including sugar and carbohydrates. Use the healthy replacements for the artificial ones, and your body will be satisfied without sacrificing your health/weight. :) :thumbsup:  :thumbsup:

i switched to fruit ate all i wanted in the beginning and slowly cut back from there.

The only thing that has worked for me thus far is drinking lots of coffee to replace any want to go and grab some sort of snack.
