Yes I have a dream to go to Machu Picchu in Peru someday. It's not that I couldn't go this year if I wanted to, it's that I'm afraid of getting the Zika virus if I go to South America. I don't want to give Zika to my daughter who is of child-bearing age.

If by some chance you were to contract that virus (highly unlikely), your daughter wouldn't be in danger unless she were pregnant when she contracted it.

You shouldn't let fear keep you from doing something you really want to do. For heaven's sake, just go already and have fun.    Put yourself in quarantine for a week or so when you get back if you're that fearful.
