Cancel a flight?

Is there a way to get part of your money back if you cant go on a vacation that you previously booked?  Anyone with some words of wisdom please... Thank you

Things have changed over the years and I am not sure if you're still entitled for a part of your refund.  It doesn't hurt to make a telephone call to find out what can be done.

If its early enough you can get your full money back you paid for it but if its night before or day of don't expect all your money to come back

Depends on the kind of ticket you buy.  If you buy a non refundable ticket you won't get your money back.  You can see if you can use the ticket for a  different flight at a later date.  You might have to pay a change fee but at least you can still use it.

Sounds right .... usually the fee is so high though it's not worth it....

Ok thanks for the input, I sent them an email to see what I can do, I'd rather not sit on the phone  for hours but it might come down to that.

It depends what kind of ticket you buy.And where do you go.I bought tickets for Europe and it can not be canceled.
