I would find it difficult to have an exclusively vegan diet, but I try to eat vegan for most meals. It makes me feel more healthy, even if I don't lose weight.

Good for you! Plant-based diets are the healthiest...because they are low-fat and low-calories. They will help you lose weight faster than other diets. Do not forget to drink lots of water and avoid sugary drinks (no sodas and other similar drinks).

Good for you.  I could never go fully vegan or vegetarian.  I love fish and chicken too much.  I could easily give up red meat since I don't eat that much of it anyway but I love fish and seafood too much.

Thats great,I could go vegan if i really had to because i love beans and vegtables and tend to eat them more anyways, the price of meat has gone up so much i dont buy very much anymore and eat a bit of fish. There are a lot more options for vegans now which is great!

I have several family members that are vegan. I could not do that.

I like red meat, stew, etc. When I cut back on red meat too long, I lose some of my energy, which comes back when I eat it again.

I also boil eggs, and eat them for my protein a lot.

However, I grow sprouts and those are real vegan-friendly. MY health improved eating those also.

That is awesome!  I would love to be able to say I was vegan.  I go a week or two vegan and then I mess up.  I firmly believe in the diet and I am moving more and more in that direction.

My son in law is on a vegan diet except for fish once in awhile. He lost a lot of weight to over a years time.He has said that when he does eat meat which is hardly ever it tastes really good. For health reasons I know its good but love steak to much.

I though vegan was a way of life not a diet to follow for a little while.  All you have to do it cut back on what you eat and move more and you will loose weight.  It is not easy and you won't loose it over night.  My cousin and I are using My Fitness Pal and we both are doing well.  I eat less than 1200 calories a day and I exercise every day.  It is working well for me.

potluck6- You SIL is not vegan if he eats fish even every once in a while.  Just sayin.  Vegan from what I understand eats NO meat and NO animal products.

That is the way to go and more healthier. I don't eat much meat like I use too but I find myself eating more vegetables, pasta, and fruit.
