2015 Taxes
« on: March 25, 2016, 06:09:28 pm »
Have you had your 2015  taxes prepared, if so, what have you spent your money on so far. I am still waiting for my taxes and I plan on paying down on some bills.

I do my own taxes.  I didn't get back a lot so I don't really spend it on anything per se. I had it direct deposited into my account so it just went to general expenses.

We got our refund back, we went out to dinner and then paid off some bills.

I have not gotten money back since before Reagan was in administration-school loans deductions were retracted that year.  I have filed separately from my wife for about eleven years because combined we would owe even more. I was paying about three to five thousand dollars each year. This year we are filing together because our tax bill can not increase any more than it is. My wife made more money and I had more deductions so, because it worked out for her, we combined returns. Completion of my taxes is quarterly and would take me more time to complete at a hourly income greater than what my accountant makes so it makes more sense to pay someone else to do it. I still take an hour to review the return every quarter.

I got mine back, but I haven't spent it yet. I don't have any plans at the moment, so I'll probably save it until something comes up.

I cannot afford to have someone do my taxes so I do my own.  It's very time consuming especially since I have a business but I have no choice.

I'm putting my refund in savings to use from emergencies.

We send extra money to our mortgage company. Will pay off 30 year loan in 15 years.

We got some cash back too.  Just put some in our saving and pay some bills as well.

Everyone don't get a refund, the main thing is not having to pay.  I have not filed yet but I will soon.
