Do you eat pears?

I have never cooked a pear. Do you like to eat pears? I always bought them in a can or ate them fresh. Have ever poached them barbecue them fried them? Today ya need to fix and enjoy a pear. Have a gr8 day

Yes, I love pears. My neighbor has pear trees and he lets me have some of them. I usually can them.

I don't. I have always found them sort of gritty and tasteless. I don't hate them, but prefer many other fruit options over them so I just never have them.

I love pears! I have a few in my fridge.

Lately, I have been dicing them up and eating them in vanilla yogurt, with a smidge of cinnamon. I use Ceylon cinnamon, sweeter and less bite.

No I never have any luck with them - always too hard or too soft - never can get them just right.  I do eat them canned sometimes but not crazy about them canned and sure don't want any canned in hfcs.  Interesting question though tempts me to try again to get some that seem nice and ripe.

I love pears...

They are the only fruit I can enjoy ripe or underripe....I remember when I was in elementary school, me and my sister would pick and eat underripe pears from a small tree that was on the edge of our playground (almost) everyday before we went home. One of my fondest memories.
