Very few of the commercials leave an impression with me. So many are just plain stupid and some really silly. The stupider or sillier they are the less I am impressed with the product. I figure if they are stupid they must think the public is too.

This is the one I am talking about, if you pay attention in the beginning he is on a plane. There might be two versions that could be why we both got a little confused.

I haven't seen it yet...Doritoes has had some funny commercials in the past though.  I've always had a "fascination" with commercials since a kid (perhaps I should have pursued a career in advertising....). 

Typically, commercials don't influence my purchasing, but I think sometimes especially the food ones have some effect on my subconscious.  There's nothing like feeling alright and then seeing a COKE commercial, and now that's all I can think about...even though I know what an unhealthy choice that is.  (Maybe COKE needs to put out a commercial to make COKE disgusting like Doritos did...hmmm)  lol
