Tips on how to lose 5 pounds

Does any body have any tips on how to lose five pounds? I usually don't have to struggle too much to lose five pounds, but it has been a few months and I am ready to lose it because I do not want to gain more. I just want to feel more comfortable in my cloths again.

It's all in the CARBS, so forget counting calories.  My brother is a diabetic and he was taught in the classes to count between 45-60 CARBS PER MEAL.  If you keep between those numbers of carbs each meal, you'll lose 5 lbs. quick.  My brother has been following that diet for a few months now and has lost about 35 lbs. already.

I can't help you unless you can train your mind first that you want to shed a few pounds. The mind is a wonderful thing. When it is focused it will let your body do what is necessary to accomplish what you need to do. And the most important one of all is to drink, drink, and drink lots of water daily.

Agree with avoiding the carbs.  My husband is also diabetic and has been told to restrict his carbs to 50 g per meal.  It has certainly helped his diabetes and with weight loss.   Also the water, drinking water first thing in the morning and as much as possible throughout the day.  I've found if I drink a glass of water before meals it helps me cut down on the amount of food consumed.   Good luck

Find a workout that you like, either it's walking, or cardio, and eat healthier meals. Good luck!  :)

I find that I have to both diet and exercise to lose any weight at all and that most of the weight comes off from the diet part of it, very little from the exercise part of it. For some reason the exercise part of it keeps me mentally on track for the diet part of it which is why exercise is so important to losing weight.

So many people are talking about reducing carbs and I believe that that is what I need to do as well. When I followed the Atkins diet, which is pretty extreme at first is based on reducing your carbs, your body responds pretty quickly to this and you'll also find yourself a lot less hungry. Exercising also pushes your metabolism up, up and up.... :D

Make sure you drink LOTS of water!!!
Stay away from: sweets, sodas and fast foods to name a few.

   Eliminate all junk food. Eat nutritious meals only. No sugar or high fructose corn syrup! Read labels-Hot chocolate (no sugar), hot oatmeal (no sugar), apple cider (no sugar) and many other products with no sugar. Use a sugar substitute. Low calories and low fat diets work the best. Drink lots of water. Sleep well and plenty.

Water, water and more water.  Take your weight and divide it in 2. That's how many ounces of water a day you should drink.  I limit myself to 24 sugars a day when I'm trying to loose weight. And get on the move... walk, run, swim... anything cardio to burn more than your're eating.

I would exercise more and cut down on fatty foods and eat more fruits and vegetables and less red meat. I would avoid all the extremely sweet stuff like candy or even high fat ice cream. That would be a way to lose weight.
