When was the last time you rode a bicycle?

I have road a bicycle in years.  I use to love to ride, but the last time I did my foot slipped off the pedal and hit the wheel of the bike.  I almost fell, so now I'm scared.

Unfortunate for me i love riding bikes ever since i was young but since i got ran over just recently i have not road a bike .

It's definitely been at least a good 3 or 4 years, if not more. I do enjoy riding a bike, especially on trails where it's more like mountain biking. But with work and everything else going on in my life, I haven't had time, and on top of that, I don't even own a bike anymore!

I probably haven't rode a bike since I was a teen(about 30 years ago).  I lived on my bike until I manage to get a horse and then my time revolved around that.  I don't think I could do it these days as I have balance issues.

I last rode a bicycle in 2002.  I took it with me on a solo camping trip in Cambridge Ohio.  After descending a hill into a paved parking lot, I got just a touch too close to the curb making a wide curve and ran into it.  I flipped over the handlebars and landed on my arm and hip.  Luckily I had enough sense to be wearing a helmet and nothing was broken -- just badly bruised.  Also luckily, I didn't feel the pain right away, which allowed me to walk/ride the bike the two miles back to my campsite.  (The further mile walk to the campground office to buy some first aid supplies was a bit more difficult and stiff).


It is ironic that I had just purchased the bike a few months earlier using a portion of the settlement funds I received after being rear-ended by a garbage truck back in 1999!


I kept that bike until 2014 -- always intending to go riding again, but the immediate area I live is is not conducive to biking.  When I started dating my wife in 2004, she was not a bike rider, so I wasn't interested in spending my free/leisure time on my own on a bike rather than with this special girl who actually enjoyed spending time with me!


I loved bike riding as a kid, but I think those days are likely far behind me now.

 I rode a bike a few times when my grandson was little. But oh man it would hurt my hip so bad afterwards. But I went anyway. I figured if he wanted to ride I would go with  him. Since he was only 6-7 I did not want him . We had a paved highway in front of the house and then gravel roads on 2 sides of us. But I did not want him on the roads by himself. first on the paved there was a lot of traffic and 2nd. not on the roads by and behind the house as their was a lot of illegals sneaking past on them. Safty first.

I have not rode a bicycle in years it seems. But I would like to get back on one again just to get the feel of how it used to be riding one.
