The only thing I use my microwave is to reheat certain food. I buy frozen veggies a lot and add them to my meals as they are really better then canned if you can't get fresh. But as for out and out cooking a meal never going to happen.

I only use my microwave for popcorn or to reheat something.  I have never cooked in it.

We don't use the microwave very often for cooking, just reheating leftovers. But, many times we buy frozen meals and amend them with our own ingredients.

Nothing beats homemade food. Frozen dinners are just awful for you and don't taste good most of the time

Nothing beats homemade for sure!  But; for busy people, there are some good frozen options out there.  Take Stouffer's for example!

I do buy frozen veggies and stream then in the microwave. I also heat foods  in the microwave. But I don't like frozen meals. Every once and a while I want mac and cheese and will buy a small  frozen container . :peace: :rainbow:

Home made food is always best and healthier for you.  There are so many chemicals in all foods that you buy and eat.  Lately I have been cooking my foods.

We are still adhering to the goals that we set for 2016. One of these was to eat healthier which keeps us from eating processed foods. On Sundays I go to Kroger's and Costco and cover all of the groceries for one to two weeks. I come home and prepare five lunches for everyone. I also prepare as much of the breakfast foods as possible: dicing a container of tomatoes/cilantro/onions/jalapeno peppers, sautéed spinach and potatoes. I pre-bag snacks for my son's lunch-after all-he doesn't need to be on a diet! If I don't pre package the snacks he generally takes them up to his room and eats the entire package while doing his homework. It seems that it is too much work to grab five bags of snacks to carry up to his room for or to run back downstairs to grab another!

I like them both.  But sometimes it is easier and cheaper to eat the frozen meals.  Although they are full of sodium, calories, fat and other bad for you stuff.

I think most people prefer homemade, but frozen is a necessity, because sometimes you just don't have the time nor energy to prepare a fresh meal.

Cooking in the microwave does not necessarily mean it is not homemade. I've made lots of good stuff in my microwave. I sometimes use a slow cooker, a pressure cooker, a microwave, a range, an oven, a toaster oven, etc.

If you make it yourself, it's homemade. Some ways are just faster than others.  :icon_rr:

Frozen veggies are a good example of almost cooking from scratch and eating fresh. When buying frozen foods, look for the expiration date.

homemade is definitely the best way to go for eating/preparing  meals.

We do use the microwave to reheat leftovers and to make popcorn
