Offers with Credit card
« on: August 23, 2009, 07:22:49 am »
Hi, i would like any suggestion on a problem i have. I don't have a credit card and it would be much easier to reach the $15 offer limit if i do the offers that require a credit card. is there some way i can do those offers? and are they worth it? because it seems to me that the amount you get for the offer you have to pay with credit card.

any help would be nice

I am new here, so I don't know if this will work but some others will know.  Maybe you could purchase a pre-paid credit card or get one of the cards that you "load" with money when you want to, you get them like at CVS or convenience stores.  I know that would involve you tying up at least a small amount of cash, but if you could use it to get paid for offers it would be worth it.

Good luck.  Money is sooooooooooooo tight for me.  Some people just really have no idea how hard it is sometimes.

I also wondered about the pre paid credit cards.  I do have credit cards, but I'm too much of a skeptic to trust giving out my credit card numbers on the internet.  I would complete more offers with a pre paid.   Hopefully someone will answer this question.

The only help I can offer is from experience. I've used a prepaid Visa card before and it even gave me instructions on how to register it to use it to buy off the internet. The only problem is that I could never get it to work over the internet. I've tried to order school books, credit report and some online stores. Every time it was denied because my name did not match the card. Well duh. It's prepaid, there is no name. Now I'm not telling you not to try it. Others may have had better luck. I'm just telling you my experience.

Get a free PayPal debit card from PayPal. I use mine all the time.

Only bad thing i find about this option is that it is linked to ur bank accounts or other credit cards.  :- But if your only problem is giving away ur card numbers online then this will do it b-cuz u would only be providing your paypal account not personal account.. Also some credit cards offer a VIRTUAL ACCOUNT NUMBER to protect your real one.

btw. A pre paid credit card will come with your name on it if you get it from a credit card co. not as a visa gift card or such that u can just buy. jmo.. hope this helps someone.

I hear what you are saying, dacool.  I signed up for an offer (not through Fusion Cash!) using my paypal account.  It was for an offer to get 50 free downloads and try the service.  If I didn't like it I could cancel at any time.  I looked it over.  Everything seemed legit, I only used 48 downloads to be sure I was safe, but low and behold, I swear with no warning, somethings I downloaded used cost than one credit, so I used a total of 51 which allowed the company to bill my paypal account for about $12 for a month's worth of membership.  Live and learn.  I really have a hard time trusting anyone about anything because of all of the scams I have fallen for over the years.

I have not done any offers involving credit cards from CC, but I will after I read comments in the forums that make me feel comfortable.  I certainly understand your concern.

I think Paypal Debit Card is a good option. It should be safer cos u r infact not giving out ur actual CC details.  One thing though, you must have a Premier or Business Account to be eligible for such a card.

I understand your dilemma.  I couldn't get a real credit card if my life depended on it.  I personally use a Green Dot prepaid visa.  You can go to http://www.greendotonline.com to see where they sell them in your area.  It's $10 for the initial card, then $5 when you need to load it after that.  I try to make sure I have like $20 at least on it so I can do the credit card trial offers on here.  If you don't use paypal a lot, this is a good option.  I've used Green Dot for years and never have had a problem.  Hope this helps! :)

I would just stick to regular offers, credit card offers scare me :o I don't even have a credit card right now, but if I got a prepaid one I'd probably use it on here  :P

I have account now. It's very easy to set up direct deposit from here too. You can go to the accountnow website & sign up. They send the card out in a few days.

I do not do a lot ofthe credit card offers. Many times they charge much more than they were supposed to, so I do not like the hassle. I also do not like to use my credit card because of the rediculous intrest rates and fees associated with them. I have a PayPal card that I use for offers that I know I can trust. For those that are questionable, I use a Green Dot prepaid card. These cards cost $3 a month and can be used anywhere visa is accepted. They are available at Walgreens and Walmart. There are many other stroes that carry them, but I am not certain of those names. If you wish, go to www.walmartmoneycard.com (I know we are not supposed to advertise affiliate programs, but this is NOTa money making oportunity) and read the specifics. The bank that backs them is GM Financial. I have used this card for over 2 years now and  have never had any problems with it.

I usually only do trials, because the freebies never credit for me. I use a debit card, and you do have to be careful about getting charged from scam companies. I've been scammed before, and I usually can get my money back through the bank, but they "hot-Card" the debit card and then I have to wait for a new one. I tried the Paypal debit cards, but they were never accepted for some reason, I don't know. I've read on some GPT sites that you aren't supposed to use prepaid credit cards for the offers, but I don't know if that is just for certain specified offers or not.
About the music downloads, if you're talking about emusic, I did that offer a long time ago on another site and didn't have a problem. You just have to be careful.
