Speaking of indoor radiators, I knew a poor old who cooked his frozen TV dinners on top of his motel heating radiator. No one would help him...so that is how he survived.

For 2 years I used a wonder washer in my tiny 2 bedroom apartment to save money in gas to the laundromat, and quarters for the machines.  Whenever it was nice my family of 5's clothes out off the deck.  But when it wasn't (And in Illinois that is often) I would hang it around any place I could get a hanger to balance around the apartment.  Last year the room my kids in was completely empty.  So we decided to paint..we spent a little more on a kilz product to prevent mold as there was mold growing all over in the room....I bleached the walls monthly.  A few  things have happened over the course of that year.  I now go to the laundromat twice a month as I'm working and no longer have time to hand wash and dry. We haven't had a very cold winter.  So; we haven't experience any pipes busting.  So far... no mold spores have reappeared.  Everyone in our household has asthma... and other than a seasonal flare up we are all much healthier this year as well.

If I dry clothes indoor, it is in a back room no ones goes in but to pick up some water, but mostly clothes that did not dry in the dryer and need to hang for a little while.

I dry my work pants and shirts hanging in the bathroom.  Guess I had better quit that.  Will hang in garage from now on.  Thanks for posting this.  Hope everyone has a good day and may
God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

Interesting, I used to use a rack a lot and leave my windows open, but that is probably safe. I'm sure using a radiator may cause some issues with mildew. Some very interesting things to think about. Thanks for sharing.

I had never heard of that.  My mother hangs clothes that she doesn't want to dry in the dryer in her basement.
Have a wonderful day!

Can you hang them up to air dry?

Never know for sure what the problem could be. The home might have had high humidity levels that could cause spores to grow. So sad that someone suffered such sickness because of the problem. People have been drying their clothes indoors and outdoors for a long time because clothes dryers have not always been around. I frequently hang stuff around the house to finish drying after removing from dryer and I have asthma so who knows.
