That sounds terrible. I'm sorry you're having problems with those seizures. Two of my friends have epilepsy, and it can be really challenging for them sometimes.

Hello there,
Seizures are a serious neurological disorder.  They are not a punishment from God.  Please do get medical attention.

I said they were a negative reinforcement, not a punishment. Negative reinforcement and punishment are not the same. A negative reinforcement is something unpleasant that persuades someone to do what he or she is expected to do and stops when he or she does the thing expected. A punishment occurs because of misbehavior. I think of the seizures I just had as a negative reinforcement because they gave me the idea of doing deeper research on epilepsy.

Yes, I am aware of a situation like that, but I will join meetings with my local epilepsy foundation every now and then and discuss my personal experiences with seizures.

God will help you...if you go to the doctor and get treatment for your seizure trouble.

Please clarify for me. What are "brain games?"

Brain games are educational cerebral exercise games. You should sign up for a free trial with (My) HAPPYneuron, Lumosity, or Rosetta Stone Fit Brains.

Thank you for the information.

I did try Luminosity several years ago, and found it to be detrimental.  I can't do these types of brain exercises on the computer.  It seems to push me towards a seizure, rather than helping prevent them.

That doesn't make any sense.

Ask God to deliver you from your illness and afflictions. Only HE can give you the help you need. By His stripes you're healed.

How can brain games help cause a disaster if they're supposed to teach you things everybody must know?

Ah.  For me, it was doing them on the computer.  My brain can't process information as quickly as the computer presents it, and when I tried,  it was sensory overload.

Some things I can do on the computer, and some things I can't.
And as long as there are books available, I can learn anything necessary.

Be sure to take your meds regularly. My daughter had seizures and was very painful to watch her go through them.
