oil painting on the pavement

In front of our apartment building, we have a special type of pavement.
When I came in from my walk, I noticed that there was a spot of oil.
The pavement doesn't absorb it at all so it just sits there .....
until someone steps in it or "maybe" the rain will wash it away.
The best quality of something isn't always the best.

It might look good, but doesn't function or appear or perform well.
I have bought things that were suppose to fit and didn't. [kitchen items, bags....]
