What kinda soup do you like to eat?  Meijer, Kroger and Busch markets have been having some great sales on soups and if you are like me and have coupons it makes it even better.

I love soups especially this time of year.
My favorite is splitpea with ham Healthy choice makes a good one.
I also like organic soups since most of them are lower I sodium. Imagine has a few lower sodium soups I like the creamy garden broccoli and the sweet potatoe soup.I always put up a few when they are on sale or I have a coupon. :peace: :snowflake:

My favorite kind of soups are homemade Chicken soup and brocolli and cheese soup. I do make this wonderful carrot and ginger soup which is so easy to make. You fry some onions and garlic, add ginger and carrots plus some flavorful chicken stock and just let it simmer for an hour. Once the oils from the ginger and onions start to float on top of the soup you know it is ready to take off the boil. I blend it until it is smooth and add a dollop of sour cream and cilantro. It is so tasty. I make a huge batch and then freeze some.

The ones I think taste really good are  pricey.  The cheap ones I don't care for.

My favorite soup is broccoli and cheese soup.  I also like loaded baked potato soup.  Those are two of my favorites, but I like other kinds of soup too.

My family really prefers homemade soups as there is not near the sodium in them and they just taste better.  About  once a month I make up a lot of soup stock and cook the meat in with the stock for soups. Winter is the best time for all of it. I cooked up my chicken  Sunday and now will be cooking up some ham shank and bone for potatoe soup, then I will cook up some beef for vegetable soups and also will make up  some for stews. then all I have to do is cook the other veggies and add the meat and stock and away we go.

Oh gosh, I wish I could remember the name of the soup I had bought for my husband and I had with our Christmas dinner.  It was in a box.  In the natural foods section of Kroger.  Nearly $7 for 2 servings.  It was as close to home-made that I'd ever had before.  I've played with making soup on my own... and they are certainly better tasting and have far less sodium compared to that of other shelf soups.  However as I start steaming, slicing and dicing along the pot grows and next thing ya know I could feed 20+ people.  I always end up freezing 1/2 of it.

Those are my favorites too! I just made broccoli and cheese soup last night and it was delicious. Perfect for the colder weather I am experiencing.

I like different soups but my two top favorites are 1. homemade loaded potato soup and 2. Campbell's split pea with ham and bacon.  Now I am hungry for soup especially since it is chilly here today.
