I have asthma.  When controlled you would never know it.  I've also had DVT in the past.  Again unless you knew I was giving myself shots nobody could have any idea.

I have Multiple Sclerosis. I get a lot of what's wrong with you? A little maddening, but it becomes a good time to educate (if I feel like it).

I thought I had MS @ first I have fibromyalgia so we are almost floating in the same boat I know the feeling I always look like i'm fine I loo like I'm healthy but looks aren't everything . people always judge so quickly even in support communitys as soon as I put my picture up I get instantly judged , its very hurtful and sad . so I feel you ! I look young for my age at least that's something I can be happy about , I wont let no one take my happy things away and fusion cash has the greatest people on here , I'm not letting this go !! :)

A lot of illnesses don't have obvious symptoms.

yes a lot of illnesses have obvious symptoms but  it is more difficult for people that have invisible illnesses that have symptoms that is not so obvious and people are very judgemental what they are so blind to what they cannot see and its bad enough that we have to live in chronic pain hell we could do without the mental displays of "showouts" that seem to think that everything is meant to be  seen when everything is not - honey we all breathe air and we know not everyone acts like donkeys :) j/s !!!!! and I'm not lazy I don't whine about it  , and I love being me and who I am :) http://d1o9fadw0wez7f.cloudfront.net/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/heart.pnghttp://d1o9fadw0wez7f.cloudfront.net/Smileys/Lots_O_Smileys/heart.png

I'm a diabetic (Type 2), but my disease didn't affect my decision to start using this site, just the easy extra money. It really is terrible when a person with an invisible illness is judged incorrectly by others. I have a friend that was having a lot of pain in their legs so was using a cane. One day at Walmart, she was confronted by an elderly lady saying that the motorized carts "weren't for healthy, young people!" So my friend unfolded her cane and started to hobble away with the lady quickly trying to backpedal and apologize for not knowing of her condition.

Why would she do that?  If she needed the cart then I would not have got off it.  There are some people who use the carts because they are lazy.  But I really do not think any one has a right to say anything to any one.  Just my opinion.

I remember when I was in my late teens/early 20s I went thru a very bad depression. I went to a doctor because I felt like I needed to get help. The sad thing was that the doctor told me that I didn't look depressed!  :o I left there even more depressed and hopeless than when I went in.

Long story short, I don't remember the doctor doing anything for me, which is one of the reasons I started reading a self-help book about depression and it helped me and I have never been depressed since.

The only thing I suffer from is tension headaches and some anxiety issues. This nothing compared to what a lot of you are going through.

When you think you got it "tough", there's always someone worse off than you.

Bless you all! My  goes out to everyone!!
