Yes I have Grave, hyperthyroid and AFib. I look really healthy but have to really watch things. Also have a lot of scar tissue on my spine and it makes it hard to stand a long time or being able to pick up heavy items. Although I try it is hard sometimes. But my family friends and my Church family are all aware of my problems and watch me like a hawk to make sure I am only doing what I can or should be doing. Praise the Lord It is not worse.

So sorry, my brother is stage 4, here in Florida, you would never know he has cancer by the way he acts. His GF is an idiot though, so we have know way of knowing of his medical records.

You have no way of knowing of his medical records?  How is that his girlfriend's fault?  She can't get his info either unless he tells her.  Why not ask him what is going on?

An "invisible " illness is one that does not have obvious symptoms that you can see and tell that someone is ill.  Most often mental illness is described in this manner, except during serious acute stages where behaviors become bizarre.  However, there are many diseases where maybe fatigue or pain are symptoms but people cannot easily tell you suffer from them.

I have lupus and ms and I suffer daily with pain and headaches and people will say you don't look sick -- I sure wish they could feel what I feel on a daily basis

wow so glad to see that there are other people like me on here , to answer them questions an invisible illness is an illness that one other human cannot see that another human has that is invisible but is chronically painful and is dreadfully ill .  like cancer lupus fibromyalgia , a tumor or any other which has been named . I have fibromyalgia , a pituitary tumor which can't be removed , and chronic migraines I have to take 5 medications a day , I just recently found out my fiancée has colon cancer , he hid it from me for a long long time  . I hope everyone gets better  I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that works on here , it really raises my spirits !! thank you so much ya'll are wonderful !!

[/quote]My brother is dyslexic, and his girlfriend tells him what she wants him to think what the records say, he gets confused at moffit, and she is the only one that has access to his records, she changed the pw(I did have access)and said the portal had issues, I called moffit, they said there were no problems with the portal. He doesn't understand she is lying, he believes whatever she tells him.

Lupus is hereditary in my family, my Aunt and Grandmother passed away from the disease. It takes a toll on you. Prayers to you!
