Snakes and Friends
« on: January 04, 2016, 03:45:51 pm »
There once was a woman who had a pet snake that she loved very much. The snake was about 7 feet long and one day it just stopped eating. After several weeks of trying everything she could to get the snake to eat, the woman took it to the vet.

The woman explained the situation to the vet and he asked her, "Has your snake been sleeping with you at night or snuggling really close and stretching himself out?" The woman replied, "Yes he's been doing it everyday and it makes me so sad that I can't help him feel better."

The vet says "Ma'am your snake is not sick, he has been preparing to eat you. He's been sizing you up everyday so he knows how big he has to be, and not eating so he has enough room to digest you.

Moral of the story: You've gotta recognize the snakes out there. Just because they seem close to you and sleep in your bed, it doesn't mean their intentions are good. Even Judas gave the first kiss.

How scary.  I believe in snakes living outside not in the house and out of my sight.  Snakes are not my friends.   :o

Oh my goodness, I am especially afraid of snakes and this story, although it has a moral, gave me the creeps.  I actually shuddered as I read it.  My skin is crawling as I write this.  I couldn't even have a snake in a cage in my house let alone in my bed!!!

That's a creepy story. The little snakes are kind of cute but I can't imagine sleeping next to snake that big. I know that wasn't the point of the story but that's all I'm thinking about.

Yep. The two-legged variety can do more damage than the crawling ones.

It did the same to me when I read it.  Maybe I should have left out the image...;D

Whoa! That's scary. I guess a 7-foot snake could eat a human but it is rather rude to eat the person who has cared for you.  Yes, snakes come in many forms.

Scary thought and another reason for me to never own a snake. I'd rather own a pet that can't eat me then one that might try any day.

Years ago we lived across the street from a girl that owned a large snake.I think it was a boa.Well anyway 1 day the snake got loose from the cage and was found on the next street over. The snake was able to go through a street level window and make its way down to the basement of that house. The tenant came down later to wash clothes and confronted the snake. Can you imagine how she must have felt?Talk about the unexpected!!The snake was hungry too,but she was able to call the police and they captured the snake with no harm to anyone. The story made the local papers the next day.
