Future Comic Book Movies
« on: December 30, 2015, 07:34:47 am »
Which of the upcoming comic book movies are you most looking forward to see in the next year or two?  Civil War looks the best so far but Dr Strange will be great to see on screen too!

I like how the Marvel movies all seem to intertwine with each other such that they feel more like a serial vs. an episodic type of story. Even movies like Guardians of the Galaxy which didn't have any of the X-Men nor any Avengers, still lend to the overall story having introduced Thanos and his quest to acquire the Infinity Stones (OK, he was actually Loki's mysterious benefactor in The Avengers but GotG did more to introduce this villian). So I too am looking forward to their new movies coming out: Captain America: Civil War, Deadpool, and X-Men: Apocalypse.

As for the DC movies, I'm not quite as thrilled to see even though one has my favorite superhero: Batman. Because of this, I'm looking forward to Superman vs. Batman although Suicide Squad might be good since it introduces the villianous gang that Batman frequently encounters.

I'm glad you asked about the comic movies, and not the bunch of video-game movies that are also coming out next year.... Although Assassins Creed will probably be good since the game itself has a good storyline, I don't feel quite so confident that War Craft will be all that great, and The Angry Birds Movie sounds absolutely horrid.

I would say the Civil War would be the best and other Marvel’s comics would be great as well.

Not really sure. I haven't given it much thought, especially since I haven't read a comic book in 50 years!

Not a fan of comic book movies. Tired of them, tbh.

I am looking forward to the captain America - civil war. The two captain America movies were both very good.

The video game movies have not had the success that comic book movies have had, although I do agree assassins creed could be good and I have all the resident evil movies.

True. Resident Evil was another successful video game made into a movie. But once again, the game had such a great storyline to begin with that it made the movie something worth watching. However Angry Birds doesn't have much of a plot, so the movie will have to somehow create a story to fit the game probably making the plot very contrived in the process.
