I would be stressed too if I still had to get out in all that shopping madness! I dont have many to shop for, and do most of my toy for charity stuff as i come across it on sale throughout the year, so i am good.

Gift cards?  The weather here is so wet and sloppy (where is our snowwww?), I would not want to go out today.

Fortunately, all four grand-daughters love cash. Cute card, some moolah, and they are happy campers.

I was stressed this morning too. Promised my daughter I would bring Chocolate Zucchini Bread, and a Lemon Cake.

Started early. As I was putting the bread in the oven, the batter did not taste right...bitter. Suddenly, 20 minutes into baking, I realized I had not added sugar!!

Had to throw it out and start over.

So glad I raised my own zucchini this last summer, and have a ton.  So, cleaned up the mess, made the Lemon Cake, ... cleaned up that mess, and made two more loaves of choc zucchini bread.

Dishes again, after all that. Three loads of dishes before 2:00 p.m.

Now, to clean my apartment, as someone is picking me up for our family dinner tomorrow.

Merry Christmas every one. We have to let go of our stress, and enjoy this holiday more.  When I learn how, I will pass it along...ha ha!

I am so glad that we drew names this year.  We have a wedding coming up in January so everyone has had lots of extra expenses associated with that.

The drawing of names helped everyone have a less stressed buying Christmas.

We really just want to spend the day together and play games......Pictionary, 5 Nouns, ....

I've been done for a while. Oh wait... I don't buy Christmas gifts!

So happy to not have to shop and buy things for people. My wallet and I are happy.

I thought I don't with mine long ago, but I still miss a lot now.  I'm in the same situation, I just give them LATE! :)

I'm not finished with my Christmas shopping, either!  :-\
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Gift cards are great for last minute shoppers!!  This year, I did most of my shopping on Amazon, it worked out GREAT!  I even had Amazon gift wrap some of them...it was the first year I've had in a LONG time where my shopping was done with no last minute stress!!  What a difference it made!  (The cyber Monday deals were awesome too!!)

I used to get stressed but my maturity has taught me to say close enough is good enough and not go nuts.  If I don;t have time to decorate from stem to stern, on sting of light and a little tree is good.  Exchanged the full on Christmas dinner for fondue and, oh yeah, increased wine consumption is a great stress reliever. Merry Christmas y'all.

It's ok. Not the end of the world though. Even after Christmas there will be some great deals. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Don't fret over the small stuff. Life can be enjoyed even without the presents, but HIS presence!!
