I have never thought about tipping a mailman. Most of the time if I give tips, I give to the waiters or waitresses when I dine in.

I tip my milkman and newspaper guy.  I never see my mailman since I have a community mail box.

I have heard of tipping the mailman, but I've never actually done it. To be honest, I don't even know if I like my mailman that much. I've noticed that if he can't get to the mail box he uses his truck to ram the nearby trash containers out the way and also when he is stopping to fill the mail boxes he then doesn't indicate that he's pulling back out on to the road. I was in a row of cars over-taking a stationery mail truck and he just pulled out, no indication or anything!

I don't have a habit of tipping our mailman either.  I know they are restricted on what they can receive.

I give my mail carrier homemade cookies.   She is a sweet older lady (we have boxes at the road).  She has pulled into my driveway to deliver packages and I always try to run outside so she won't have to get out and walk.  She has difficulty walking.  Very sweet lady.    We no longer have the paper delivered.  I do have a fabulous UPS driver that I may try and get him some cookies too.
Yes, I do the same. I love making cookies/sweets this time of year and create box of goodies for our mail lady, UPS drivers, and garbage/recycling crew.

I usually only tip them when I'm at the restaurant and other places that need service.  But I never tip anyone come for mail man or newspaper.  Because I never see them when they stop by.

I've never run into my mail carrier because they come too early so I wouldn't be able to tip if I wanted or not. Lol

It's okay to tip your mailman, I've been doing it for years. Just give them an envelope with a money or thankyou
card with the tip included.

I never give a tip, because they don’t need tips.

I have never tipped a mail carrier, and do not want to offend them.
