Aisle 5 Life Lesson for husbands everywhere...

A husband and wife are shopping in their local supermarket.
The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart.

"What do you think you're doing?" asks the wife.

"They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans" he replies.

"Put them back, we can't afford them" demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping.

A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.

"What do you think you're doing?" asks the husband.

"It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful," replies the wife.

Her husband retorts: "So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price."

That's him on Aisle 5 - he never knew what hit him...

I work in a Kroger store and have literally heard conversations like that.  In fact one day an older couple visited my counter and the woman was astonished with how many things we offered.  She had never been in our store and had lived in the same town for 30 years.  It probably took the husband 20 minutes to get her from one end of the counter to the other.  All the while she was wanting each and every item....all the while he grew more impatient with her.  As they were walking towards the deli I thought the old man was going to turn the cart and head out of the store...instead he grumbled, "this is why I've done the grocery shopping for 30 years." His wife ignored him and ooh'd and ahhh'd over all the deli case for the next 20 minutes. It must have taken them hours to get out of there.
