It seems like some major strides were made with the new deal...thoughts on it?

From what I've read they didn't go far enough.  As long as we're basing our energy needs on fossil fuels, we're kicking it down the road...

It was a total waste of time and electricity cannot be furnished with solar panels and windmills.  Fossil fuels for the foreseeable future have to be the way to go.  I can't see my car running with a little windmill pushing it along.  It's nothing but a power and control issue.  Climate is always changing and always will.  We're not going to change that ever.  There are palm tree trunks in the ice in Greenland.

The first solar powered car was built in 1977.  1977.

Henry Ford built a car in 1941, that ran on ethanol made from hemp.  1941.

The only reason your car still runs on fossil fuels is profit, pure and simple.

Solar panels and windmills are running homes and charging car batteries, etc. already.  Some people are off the grid and even making money by selling their extra energy to the power company.

Yes, climate is variable, but man's interference has created a problem and we need to be responsible for our actions.
