Do you drink your tap water?

I have well water and we haven't gotten a filter put on the water yet.  I will probably drink it once we get it filtered.  I personally drink bottled water for now.  We will be getting our water filter hooked up within the next couple of weeks.  Can't wait.  I am tired of the iron water.  It is ruining my pipes and fixtures.

I drink the tap water in L.A. Most of it comes from the Sierras, and every year we get a water safety report. In some places, particularly right-wing towns or cities where polluting industries are given a free hand, the water might be dangerous. If you have doubts, get it tested.

nah i dont drink tap directly

i have a purifyer

so i use that from the tap

its never to good to drink tap water.

theres chemicals that cant b seen with the naked eye

plus ever since i saw the erin brockovich movie

im making sure theres nothing in the water

The chemicals are what clean the water.  If it weren't for the chemicals, then you'd be drinking your own urine and who knows what else.  Bottle water isn't all it's cracked up to be.  Bottled water isn't required: to disinfect, filter out pathogens, test for viruses, to meet any kind of standard, and even let you know if there was a contamination.  Meaning they can take it from who knows where, bottle it up and sell it to you.

if you do a search about water you will find that bottle water has more problems than most tap waters - by the way if you are drinking CA water it is most likely is CO water from CO river unless it is reprocessed waste water.

I don't drink tap water because some people have that hard water that leaves your mouth with this dry thirsty feeling. But I would if their was a filter on the sink or if they had a container that filters the water.

I live in baltimore and people have told me that our tap water is bottled and sold so i just drink it out of the faucet why buy it if i can get it free?

well, I can't actually remember anyone dying form drinking the tap water before everyone started up with bottled water.  I remember when it first came out thinking how crazy it was to go and buy something that you already pay to get piped into your home.   :-  So anyway, I don't drink much of either one. I try to, I know I should, I used to...I think.  But now it just don't taste good,  If you mix a packet of koolaid with it does it still count as drinking water?

I do not drink water from the tap as I do not feel it has the right content or nutritional value. I think tap water that has a purifier would be acceptable but I do not have that either. I purchase bottled water and then recycle.

If i'm just drinking water, then I drink bottled water, but if I'm drinking ice tea, I make it with tap water.

Interesting point about the plastic bottles.  I actually do drink bottled water because I do think it tastes better than tap water.  There isn't really anything WRONG with my tap water and it isn't cloudy, I just like bottled water.
