Does she not have any other family that can help with expenses?  A lot of people, at least where I live, are not having funerals.  It's ridiculous to pay $10,000 - $15,000 for a funeral.  If the whole thing is falling on you then maybe you could do some sort of a fundraiser.  Or maybe if you go to church they could help you.

If she died last month then the funeral has already happened.  I am surprised the funeral home done it and let you pay later.  Again, in the town I live in you pay upfront or you don't have any thing.  A lot of people are just having a burial.  I guess because of laws they have to do the vault and bill you but I know people who have been told they would not be provided services unless they paid beforehand.  That sounds mean but at the same time they are a legit business and once a funeral is over and people don't pay there isn't a lot they can do to recoup their loss.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Did she have any insurances?   Do you have any other family members who can also help pay for her funeral?

Maybe check into setting up a gofundme account, I know other people that have set them up to help pay for a funeral.  So sorry for your loss.   :(

I too pray for you. My son died two years ago. The difference in cost of a cremation and a burial was amazingly high.

We opted for the cremation, though it was not what I wanted.

I am sorry you are going through this, I know it is hard.

That Go Fund Me website might just be an answer for you.  I hope so.

First off i am sorry for your sisters passing and your financial situation.

It truly is a joke how this world has blinded and robbed many of losing loved ones to death. Many seem to be catching on to this scam.....but still many are trapped by it.

Gods name is Jehovah and if you bow your head and throw your burden on HIM he promises to sustain us and make a way out for us in Jesus name!

I am so sorry for your loss. If you believe in cremation, that is cheaper than a burial.
