bugs
« on: November 07, 2015, 06:30:13 am »
two people sit outside.
one will be bitten by a mosquito or some other bug and the other will not.
they say that some people's skin attracts bugs more than others.
I put neem cream on to keep them away and the bug bites me below where I put the cream.
sometimes, you just don't see it coming.

I've been told mosquitoes love the carbon dioxide people give off. When i used to smoke, I wouldn't dare go outside in the evening without insect repellent. Mosquitoes just loved me.  It no longer happens since i quit. I haven't had a mosquito bite in 3 years.

When I was a kid, the mosquitoes loved me.  Now that I'm older, I'm not quite as appealing. I am deeply grateful for that.

Mosquitoes love me as well. I try not to go out in the yard when they are feeding.

That's interesting...I figured the smoking would make them less likely to come near you.

Hmm, neem creme...I never heard of it. I'll have to look that up, I hope it's non toxic. I can't stand chemical insect repellent. That's why I always get bit up in the summertime at night, because I'm hesitant to put it on, and then I just cant hop into bed after a relaxing night sitting on the porch. Nope...I have to wash it off before getting between the sheets.

I am also a mosquito magnet.  I have heard that in addition to the things already mentioned mosquitoes like certain types of blood.  Guess I must have the blood type they love since I am unable to go outside without being bitten at least once.  ???

I live in central florida and there is a lot of water near our home so we can and frequently do have a lot of trouble with mosquitos - I don't tend to get bitten by them much but I worry about my little dogs.

I have always said that if there are several people around me that I would be the one person who would get bite by any bugs that are around.  I don't know why, they just do.
