Perhaps warm milk if you can tolerate, I sometimes read and that's helps me to doze on off. A really dark room also helps, it is hard for me to fall asleep when I seen any light, I really need the room dark! Hope something will work for you, it is hard to function the next day when you have not had a restful night.

There are many good suggestions already.  Try to get into a routine to prepare for sleep.  An hour before you go to bed start your routine.  Turn your phone off. Don't use your technology that emits the bright light.  Turn other lights down.  Make sure it is a comfortable temperature for you.  Maybe take a warm shower, drink some camomille tea.  Make sure your pj's are comfortable if you wear them.  Have reading material that is not too stimulating and exciting.  Maybe a magazine.  Listen to soothing music.  Have you tried aromatherapy...like light lavender or vanilla?  Don't eat much as it approaches bedtime.  Make sure you have little caffeine after about 1-2p.m.

When I can't sleep, or don't sleep well enough, I buy some over the counter Advil Nighttime.  It seems to help.  Maybe you should give it a try.
