I donate clothes ever once in the while to the salvation army and other thrift stores? It feels great to know someone else maybe able to use what you no longer use or need.

Even though I like Salvation Army, I donate more to local charitable organization and give to the Christmas kettles.

I donate when some of my clothes don't fit or its old... Haven'y lately donated in awhile since i still wear the same clothes

I donate money to the Salvation Army kettles during the Christmas season.  I donate clothing and household items to our local Goodwill store.

I help with the reading room we have in the building.
 when we have a lot of books coming in donated to us, I weed out the ones with print that is too small.
The Salvation Army store isn't that far from us.
I have two friends who take a few bags when they are full.
I guess we give them books 3 times a year.

Goodwill keeps a manned semi-trailer (for donations) at the shopping center right by my house, sure makes it easy to weed out a bag or box of stuff.

I try to sometimes, but I mostly donate to (AKS) American Kidney Society, just because they call and ask.  But I do put money in the kettle at Christmas time.

We usually donate to YMCA.  They have a store in the city nearby and send a truck to my small town periodically to pick up donations.  On the appointed pick up day, all we have to do is set out our donation/s in bags or boxes labeled YMCA.  The truck stops and my donation is done.
