I had a few days like this before my wife and I got children. Actually we spent years like this.

I spent a quiet day at home as well. I didn't want to be out in the cold if I didn't have to be. But I can't avoid the cold.

You are extremely lucky, aggie49. I wish I could have even a HALF-DAY of relaxation. Each one of my days is nothing but endless multi-tasking, stress, and frustration. Congratulations, and I hope that you thoroughly enjoyed that well-deserved day off. :-)

Every day is a lazy day for me and my kids have been gone for years. Even my wife is gone most days during the week working, so I sleep a lot and play on the computer when I am not sleeping.

Yes relaxing at home with peace and quiet is nice but like you, I always missed my kids if they weren't at home.  I hope you have a nice week !

The only day it seems that is quite and relaxing for me is when hubby goes to work. He is a sub at high school and right now not much going on. It seems like it always gets busy after the first of the year. the  teachers are getting tired of the kids and want some time off. Right now we are going out a couple of times a week and cutting wood. A friend has a bunch of dead trees we are taking down for him. Will be taking dad out next week and helping him get some also. I have an craft show this coming weekend and am just about ready for that, then I will be trying to get some more canning down, then it is time to do all of the baking for Christmas. Just never seems like I have more then a day or so at a time that I am not doing something.
