All you have in  cheap hotel is the desk clerk and maids. But if you are talking about a high range motel or hotel, just call them and ask what are all positions there are and if there is any openings. The mid range where I worked had a desk clerk, maids, janitors, cooks, dishwashers, waiters, waitresses, busboys, bartenders managers, supervisors (me), security and I am sure I missed some.

Front Desk Clerk
Room Assigners
Operators
Operations lead
Concierge/ guest service
Information Clerk
Bellman
Valet
Housekeepers
laundry
Engineering
Room Service

If they have a restaurant, you have waiters/waitresses/host/hostess/cooks/servers/etc...
Then you get all the managers & executives, the sales department, convention services, more departments based on how big of the hotel it is... you'll have inventory specialists, maintenance, landscaping, etc...

Let's see:  the desk clerk, the manager, the cleaning crew, the owner.  The larger the hotel, the more personnel there are.  ANd the fancy hotels have more people to pamper the guests.
