Another One
« on: October 18, 2015, 12:21:42 pm »
Although this topic has been brought up many times (too many to count), I just needed to voice my frustration. I've even given advice to others who get frustrated. Well, today it's my turn to vent. I just attempted a FC survey about grocery shopping. It was supposed to be about 40 minutes, so I knew that going in. However, this survey lasted at least an hour. It just kept going on and on. I finally get to the end and the survey was closed and I didn't get credit. Guess I took too long. That's an hour I can't get back. When they asked for comments, I even stated that while the survey was enjoyable, it was too long.
Ok, that's enough for now. On to the next one.

Sorry, don't know why this was posted twice and it wouldn't let me remove it.

We all have to vent sometimes.  I'm sure everyone here has felt like venting before and can understand and appreciate your comments.  It's happened to me, too. Our time is valuable to us. I just completed twelve tasks and am still waiting for the compensation to appear in my account.  Although the tasks were about music and pretty fun as far as tasks go,  I probably would not have worked on them if I thought I would not get my reward.  But as charmaine56 suggested above, if one thing doesn't work on this site, then something else probably will.

I understand that, it can get very frustrating sometimes! The really long ones are tough enough and then to not get credit... it really sucks. Every once in a while my head or eyes will start to hurt if it continues to go on and on, but I can't take a break for fear that it will hit it's number and close. I wish you the best of luck in the future :) Hopefully you'll qualify for more and receive credit with no problems!

I am on several sites and I love surveys. I have had problems with surveys on all my sites but fortunately the problems are only occasional. I know how frustrating it is to spend some to a lot of time on a survey and not get credit for one reason or another.

I almost never attempt a 40 minute survey because there is too much time for something to go wrong.

I have found that the time estimate on both surveys and videos are a joke.  A "5 min survey" often takes 20 min.  I was avoiding a video listed a 5+ min till one day nothing was crediting and it was that or 10 step of hyprmx,  I figure I could turn it on and go off and get something else done in another room, imagine how annoyed I was when I saw it was only 15 sec long, and I had skipped over it for days. Also survey topics,  I never get the survey advertised.

I know how you feel it has happened to all of us at one point or another I usually try not to touch the ones with more than 20 minutes, since they never last the time they say, they always take longer. It is frustrated and time consuming

Very rarely do I have that much of a frustration with a survey but it does happen. Something similar to what you experienced happened to me a few months ago on another earning site.

Typically I don't get annoyed when I get opted out of a survey for one reason or another.  After all it's all a part of the process.  This time, however, I was a bit annoyed; like you, my time spent was far too long, in my opinion, to be opted out, cancelled or otherwise not credited in some way.    >:( I immediately posted a comment about my survey experience and submitted it before I was opted out of that.  LOL   ::)

Usually I give very positive feedback because most of my experiences are good.  This one was not.  Thankfully it does not happen too often.

I rarely ever attempt the surveys....too often I don't fit the demographics of what they are after.  I am better off listing items in my eBay store.

I'm with Janet, I rarely take the time to do the surveys. Too risky for me to spend that much time on something and then not get credited. I've got other things which can make me more money so I work on those.

I feel the survey providers ought to "count you in" once you pass the screening and have been allowed to start.  They should either start a few more than they need or open it back up when people quit/loose internet etc and don't complete.  But it is extremely unfair and misleading to let you go all the way and be told sorry tough luck (and how do we really know they don't use our answers).  One of the reasons I really don't do surveys.

I feel for you on this one, but there is no rhyme or reason for FC not to give you credit for completing that survey.
