I had some tamales made in banana peels instead of corn husk. They were pretty good but of course I didn't eat the peels. I'm not sure I would enjoy them any other way.

Who said it's good to eat banana peels?  There is no way I would eat the peels.  When you see things that you read or online, doesn't mean that it is true.  For some people, it is hard for them to believe that who ever write articles etc may be mentally challenged.

No I will not be eating any banana peels.  Tree bark probably has a lot of nutrients too but I'm not going to try to find out.

I never heard of this before, but I'm not surprise. The peels of some fruit (and vegetables) is where you'll find the most potent nutrients. Unfortunately they aren't edible because of chemical pesticides. You would have to by organic (which are expensive).
