i have always purchased new cars because that way you no what to except when it comes to used cars you mostly get one that breaks down a lot  because it is used

I always get new cars; I am not a snob or anything, but I am a single mom, and can't do any "work" on the car myself so I need something reliable that has a warranty!

If you can afford a new car, that's what you'll drive, but there's a lot of nice used car's in the world, I choose both new and used!

Because they lose so much of their value, I'd rather buy a very good car that is used but in good condition....

I'm not a mechanic but I am able to check my oil, change my air filter and add anti-freeze.  My vehicle is a 2000 Ford Windstar van.  I really like the way it drives; however, I am dependent on other people if I run into a serious problem.  As long as it's reliable....I'm happy. 

Actually, I could walk, if necessary. 

Someday it would be nice to buy a new little Toyota economy car.

We get used cars just because new are way too expensive.

My wife, daughter and son all drive new cars. I feel safer with them being in newer cars. My car is fifty years old and I have a scooter for a backup. If it is nice out I take the scooter to my day time job which is only four miles away. If it is raining or snowing I have my car which always seems to start and get me from point a to point b. I can figure out what is wrong with my car at anytime and can fix it myself ninety percent of the time. The car is kind of an extension of myself: it is old, unique, inexpensive, dependable, low maintenance, strong, hard working, and not the prettiest but seems to catch everyone's eye.  I drove it yesterday with the top and doors off and had no less than three people ask me what year it was and if I had any interest in selling it. Someone offered me three times what I paid for it last month.

If I had a choice I would go for a brand new Silvershadow Rolls Royce (Baby blue please), Bentleys are nice too.  But I seem to always get a used vehicle, maybe 1 or 2 years from a lease because they usually have automatic check ups.   They lose s much value as soon as they are driven off the lot.

It can be hard now a days to get a new car. Plus you may have a car payment for years..like me. Some used cars can be great too if you find someone who is a mechanic and knows get them to check it out first.

I always buy new cars and I have for at least a decade since I don't dive that much anymore. My brother will often get a used car from a reputable dealer that will cover the warranty it works well for his family.

I've bought used cars before, but I go for the certified pre owned so they have a warranty and I've never had any major issues with them

Most of the vehicles I purchased in my life were new. However, this year I bought a two-year-old pickup with only 2,500 miles on it.  Pretty new, I'd say, but still pre-owned.
