Kmart and Sears have really impressed me lately. I often buy my kids shoes/boots there b/c their selection is wonderful.

We used to shop Sears and K-Mart all the time but with the merger between the two, first they closed our local Sears, then a couple months later, the local K-Mart. Sears had the "old-fashioned" service, which I really liked. They were well-informed in the products they sold but many times I would see them standing around because there were no customers. It made me sad.

We had to pass a Wal-Mart to get to Sears and K-Mart. I don't like Wal-Mart. Only ever 1 register open and no one seems to know anything.

The malls in my area are all dying. Stores are closing and new ones that move in don't seem to have the business.  We just got a Kohl's about a year ago but I never hear from anyone that shops there. Sadly, I think the internet is killing brick and mortar shops and that's a shame.

They are not around, so I really do not shop there anymore.

Not that many KMarts here in Georgia any more. Few and far between.

I went into Kmart for the first time last Christmas and was quite impressed with their Christmas department. The ornaments looked a good quality and the price was certainly reasonable, they even had some wonderful items on sale. I then moved onto the tupperware section of the store and purchased some of what I thought was good quality tupperware and bought them home to wash and clean them. I poured my first batch of soup into one of the containers and was horrified to see that none of the container lids fit properly. When filled with hot soup, I also realized the plastic was very thin and bendy. The whole batch of tupperware cost $7. I came to the realization that KMart was not the same quality as JC Penney Macy's!

I still go to Kmart for their clearance stuff. They have some really great things for next to nothing! But I mostly shop at Walmart

I go to Walmart but because it is closest.  It also has everything I need.  I haven't been in a KMart for years.

I live in a small town and we do have a small kmart/sears here. But I think it is going to go out of business. Then we won't have any where to shop except for family dollar, dollar general and our overpriced grocery store. I know they want you to shop in your town , support the town but when we can save a bundle going out of town that is what we will do or I will order a lot online.

We don't have a K-mart in my town, but I recently ordered something from their website that was sold out at my usual stores.

I do not think Kmarts are as busy anymore and I have a feeling the one near me wont last too much longer anyways. I think the Little Caesers inside did more business than the store.. I think things are more expensive there unless it is really on sale. The Walmart here the employers are rude and are not trained properly.

I don't like Kmart their clothes and shoes are cheap and cheesy and their other products are expensive.  I like Walmart better.

Not really too much, I heard that brands are threatened by walmart that if they let kmart sell their products, then they won't sell them at walmart, or they have to put higher prices on them.

I practically never go to Kmart, because they have a limited selection of items, and their customer service is horrible. No matter how long the lines are, they only have one cash register open, and they always have problems that hold up the line! Plus, if you have to return something, they always cheat and give you a lot less than you paid for it.

Walmart displaced Kmart because it has better customer service. Walmart stores look better inside too.
