Did you play the game of Tag?

American Touch Tag Day is October the 8th. That was a fun way of getting exercise, you must agree. That game was the best when a lot was playing. I do remember that game. It is fun watching the game too.

I loved playing tag; that was one of the games that I enjoyed the most. I esp. liked variants of freeze tag, like TV tag where the person that was "frozen" by It got unfrozen when another player tagged them and yelled out a name of a TV show. Unfortunately in this PC climate, schools are beginning to ban tag being played on school property, citing reasons like students' physical and emotional safety. Some schools have even banned any type of game that has student-to-student contact for these reasons, including red rover, duck-duck-goose / grey duck, and musical chairs. They may as well require students to wear full football gear before going out for recess if they're so worried that a student might get accidentally injured while playing...

Yes,  I played the Tag Game many times when I was small. Good old memories when my daddy would sit at night on his pickup truck and sing with his guitar while we (his children) run around playing Tag. Wonderful memories.

We played tag when we were small.  I remember playing tag at dark with flashlights.  There was a big park right behind our homes and that's where we played.  Of course, times were different then, you weren't afraid and neither were our parents.

I played a lot of tag in elementary school. we always had a lot of fun playing

When i was a kid, we played 2 kinds of tag. the regular and something we called tag on bikes. that was interesting with a lot of cool rules.

I played that all the time when I was young. Oh how I wish I was young again.

yes we play tag but most of the time we played manhunt where a group of us would hide up on roofs under things and the person who was it they had to find you i was kinda of like a tom boy

We played tag at recess during school.
Sometimes we also played Freeze tag....where you were "frozen" when you got tagged by "IT".  Other players could come touch you to unfreeze you.

We mostly played Kick the Can, which is a variation of tag in a way. We hid and when the IT person found you they had to beat you to the can and jump over it while they yelled "over the can for 'name' so you would be captured, or if you beat them you could kick the can and release everyone and make the IT person start over.

Most definitely. The game of tag was a huge staple of my childhood (during recess and tag in my elementary years). I hated being 'it' due to the simple fact that I was not a fast runner. :-(

would you believe i use to play tag in a grave yard after dark, i also played mother may i,and red light green light when i was younger.oh yeah we also played football and threw a frisbie.
