Annoying Commercials

I hate commercials because they tend to interrupt a show that I am viewing every 1.5 minutes.  It's really annoying and irritating.  That is when I start surfing for other shows that I like.

That's an interesting question because I think ALL commercials are annoying - especially when they run them over and over again back to back as so many do!

I agree with many of the comments here.  That said, I have to give props to a great commercial I just saw for the first time last Thursday night watching football.  We have a DVR, but I was watching live TV.  I actually paused/rewound it and called my wife in to see it.  If you haven't seen it, you need to google/youtube the chick-fil-a 2001 space oddysey commercial.


I told my wife it should be a superbowl commercial, not a week 4 of the season commercial!

It's funny that some commercials are so annoying and forgettable, yet some are so meaningful and memorable. One of my favorite adverts I ever saw was unsurprisingly aired during the Superbowl. It was a commercial from Budweiser where the puppy and horse were good friends, until one of them was re-homed. The story was so beautifully told and my heart broke for the pet which was left behind. You can imagine my glee when they were reunited.

I do not watch any commercials at all. That is the beauty of having DVR. In the event I'm somewhere other than home watching tv I start talking with someone or get on my phone. I hate commercials. Pretty much everything being sold is either a new car (which I don't want) or some new "diet" product. Who cares.

I just tune them out or get up and leave when they are on. Once I have seen one that is all I need too see.  Some are so stupid.  I don't mind seeing a good one once in a while but after 3or more times it gets annoying,

Every one and a half minutes?  Seriously?  What channels and shows are you watching where there are that many commercials?  Usually it is closer to 10 minutes.  And the commercials are what allows the shows to even be on.  Advertising is what supports the stations and the shows.

Most commercials are extremely annoying. I think if I had to choose one, I would choose Progressive. That woman is terribly annoying!
I have seen a few that are interesting. I sometimes get a kick out of the Geico commercials. but generally I don't like commercials.
