My mom always puts stuff up. She has this really cool ceramic pumpkin that she puts a candle in each year.

no just hand out candy and sometimes put a pumpkin on the porch

Yes we do. We bought a great 3 foot wide spider from the Halloween store 2 years ago which you fasten to a log and it springs out at you when you walk past. However, it made the little kiddies jump so bad that they started screaming and crying. We felt so bad we decided to leave it switched off last year. Then I started to wonder, what was the point of buying it ($80) if we then chose to leave it's best feature switched off? Should I feel some remorse or press on, as lets face it, it's not Christmas! If you are trick or treating, shouldn't you expect to be ..... scared?

My family does not celebrate Halloween.

Halloween is not a holiday that I really get into.  It is fun for little kids but beyond that I am not a big fan.

Yes, we decorate a little - basically just some decorations on our picture windows, and a lit, carved pumpkin on Halloween night.

I alway try to! It's my favorite time of year, and I almost always try to make my own costumes. Sometimes as a result I don't really get around to decorating the outside of the house. I have family that doesn't like halloween nearly as much as I do, so if I don't get around to decorating, no one does.

I prefer not to purchase too many seasonal items so my family purchases pumpkins to decorate and that's about all. Last year I painted all my pumpkins as Minions from "Despicable Me" and all the kids loved seeing them. I'm doing it again this year.
