red light green light

I noticed that machines have either a red light or a green light that serves as a notifier if you have a message on your phone  or are being alerted in some way on a gadget of some kind.
Blue might be the third color option used.

When I saw the subject it brought me back to childhood and the game "Red light, green light" we use to play in our neighborhood.   Probably showing my age but it was a nice throwback memory.

I am old enough to remember that was a game you played out side.

I remember the game as well!  We actually often played it on the stairs indoors!  Another similar game was "Mother, may I?"  Does anyone remember that one?

One of the other replyed thought the same as me. I  remember the game I use to play with my friends. Green Light Red Light. We used to have so much fun. I like that better.

I thought this was about the game as well. Played it quite a bit when I was younger. I remember Mother May I as well.

The RGB - Red, Green, Blue colors are frequently used in appliances, Christmas lightning etc. aside from other primary colors I guess because it's easier to distinguish, many people tend to confuse yellow for orange or
white. I would assume that depending on the consumer each light has a different meaning in terms of error.

:) I remember playing Red Light and Green Light. Also, Red, usually denotes something is "on", active, or ready while Green usually denotes something is ready or is being used right now. :) Then there are just plain ole, "light is on so it must mean something." :)
