Labor Day
« on: September 06, 2015, 12:55:07 pm »
I know I have made a lot of posts about people being stupid but dang people are SO stupid.

I saw a post on facebook with a bunch of caskets covered with the American flag and talking about how "stupid" people are and how the poster of the picture "wished people knew the true meaning of Labor day and it's not about your stupid cook out it's about the people who died".

SMH.  No, that's Memorial Day.  Memorial Day honors fallen soldiers.  Labor day is about the WORKING MAN.
But like me, most working folks will be working on LABOR DAY.

there is a lot of people who just go by what they were told instead of learning it for themselves

Have to agree with you on this one.  Memorial Day for service members, Labor Day for working people.  It's sad some people have no idea what things mean.

People in general as a whole are stupid.  Individuals are normally more intellectual than they care for others to know about.  Wishing you a great Labor Day and hope that you don't have to work too hard.  I'm a stay at home Mom so I don't get a day off ;)

Yes, people are stupid.  They just are.

Like someone else said individually some are okay but most still do not want to show to much intelligence because then more is expected of you.

One of my friends also shared that picture, and it just made me cringe that THEY didn't know the true meaning of the holiday... But I noticed that the post that the picture was originally posted in was dated in May, so I realized that it was my friend and not those that made the meme that were the idiot.

I worked, also, but not for pay.  I fixed dinner for the whole family (except for a sister and a nephew, they had to work) ~ 22 people!  We had a wonderful time together.  It's not that often that we can all get together at the same time.
Have a wonderful day!

I actually wasn't referring to the person who made it but everyone who was sharing it.  It's like all the other crap that gets shared on social media.  People are not smart enough to read or find out if it is true.  I had a friend  that use to share every missing kid picture she saw.  From all over the world.  Chances are they are not going to be in our small town.  And second, two of the pics she shared the kid was no longer missing.  The second pic she shared the kid was found dead a few days after the missing poster went out.  And her mother was BEGGING people to STOP sharing that picture all over the internet to help look for her daughter.  I showed that to my friend who in turn got mad at me.

I have learned that stupid people do not like it when you point out they are wrong.
