Care.com is one of the best sites to use. There is many more but I certainly suggest doing reference checks!

Sorry I don't live it that area, but I too will be a grandmother in a couple of months.  It is also a little boy and I can't wait.  My daughter will go back to work after 6 weeks and I will be taking care of the baby.

Congratulations! My wife stayed home with our first child for six months. I begged her to go back after three. She would call me and talk about nothing...rummage sales, weather, coupons at various store that weren't even in our state! We paid about two thousand and two hundred dollars a month for each child. Upon starting daycare they were sick for the first six weeks so we wasted about three thousand and three hundred dollars-not to mention time away from work to take care of sick children. My children are now in their late teens and consume every cent I have-and then some. I am proud of my children but do not share their victories and conquests unless asked. We had a gentle man that felt everyone in the office needed to hear about his darling, grand daughter. He soon became very disliked.

I'm in Illinois and full daycare is a little over 800 a month, and at the job I was at, I brought a little bit more than that home, so we decided I would be a stay at home mom. I've been home now with our daughter for 20 months now. But I'm also back in school too. It just depends on the age of the child in some cases.
