I believe it is more dangerous now then ever before and part of it is because of all the bull crap going on about black lives matter(and they do) but so do all other lives. But when you get the black panthers up in arms about killing all cops then it is another whole ball game. I believe a person has the right to protect themselves come what may and if a burgler breaks into another persons house and gets shot then it is the burglers fault not the home owners.

I think it's time the GOVERNMENT stops putting its nose in where it doesn't belong and let the police do their jobs with interference and without the government ENCOURAGING the criminals!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean? I want the law to require everybody who plans to study a career about leadership to take a class about disabilities. That's no harm at all. Nobody with any sort of leadership position should get away with mistreating any disabled individual. When anybody hurts a disabled person, I want to scream!

I am so glad that my cousins and brother-in-laws are all retired and out of harms way from being police officers. Some were for 30 plus years. I respect the guys in blue and yes we have a few but for the most part police officers go out of there way to be polite. But those who will not respect  the ones who are trying to do a job usually will get the short end of the stick. The one thing that really galls me are the ones who are inciting others to kill all police officers They should all be arrested and jailed before someone gets hurt. It is wrong.

Absolutely.  I wouldn't want one of my children in that line of work because I would always wonder whether or not they were safe.

I think there are some individuals who are "built" to do that kind of work; however, even if they do their job....

they might have to justify their actions.

Also, there are some law enforcement officers and detectives who are dangerously close to being criminals, their selves so it's tough for people to know what they're actually dealing with.

Have a great day!

I certainly think so. There seem to be a lot of people out to get all cops because of the racist behavior of some. They seem to be willing just to murder cops. I am glad I don't have any cops in my family. I would be a nervous wreck all the time with worry about them.

I think that respect for authority, respect for others, and taking personnel responsibility are vanishing qualities in America.  Then we ask under paid, over worked men and women to save us from the consequences of ourselves.  Then when they are not perfect, we stand back and criticize them. I thank God for them and pray my son never decides to be a Police Officer.

Heck to the yeah! Today's social media covers nothing but the bad news and tends to play the race card in the large percentage of its stories. Everyone's perception has become systemically tainted in a negative manner. Even when the police officer is of color the focus tends to be on the police officer of non or lighter color. Suicides are now the police officer's fault. News about caucasion victims barely make the news and are shifted to non-priority news slots.People are quick to pass judgement and media stars jump in before all of the facts have been presented. I have begun boycotting all stars that become involved in political/racial or religious causes. I try to stick with news outlets that are more neutral in their broadcasts. Police have a hard enough job, for inadequate pay.
