Socks & Shoes
« on: September 01, 2015, 11:27:59 am »
This is a silly question...I was watching an old rerun of All in the Family ( you young guys probably never saw this or know about it).  Anyway Archie was yelling at Meathead about him putting on his socks and shoes.  He put on sock and shoe and sock and shoe.  Archie said you put on sock and sock and shoe and shoe.  That way if you have to run you have both feet covered.  What you you do?

I have to agree with Archie on this one -- not necessarily for the same reasons, but it would feel completely odd and unnatural to me to put a sock and a shoe on one foot before first doing anything with the second foot.  Gotta go with two socks then two shoes.  (I am even compelled to do left foot first then right foot).

I remember that episode. LOL. That was a good one. I haven't seen that show now in years.

I've had people ask me that question and until I was first asked I never gave it a thought.  Now each time I put on my shoes I think about it.  Sock, sock, shoe, shoe for me.  The other way just doesn't feel right.
