No - I just went to college after waiting for my kids to hit HS..somthing I always wanted was my degree - now I have a $50,000 dollar piece of paper.

Cannot get a job in this economy an frankly - do not want too, there are SO many other things to do and SO many other ways to make a living, a good living - however it is not for everyone. If you want a degree for the self esteem go for it!! I loved going back to school, sadly the loans EKKKK..lol again just my humbe opinion

i think the experience was worth it alone for me - yes I have to pay off loans but I learned so many different things not just from class but from the people I met while living on campus and in class - really the best time of my life!

Taking random college courses at Junior Colleges for pleasure is very rewarding!

It definately is.... but you have to get creative about paying for it...don't get stuck with loads of student loans!!

I graduated with a 2 year associate's degree from a technical college.  I thought I was going to find a job in my field no problem.  It took me 5 years and still didn't really have any prospects.  I ended up working clerical jobs and doing some accounting.  Every job I applied for in my field said they preferred someone with a Bachelor's degree.  I went back to school to get my Bachelor's and had a job within one month of graduation.  I only wish I had done it sooner.

Of course it is. I don't even understand how someone could ask a question like this. Going to college is one of the most important things someone could do with their life. It's almost impossible to get a decent paying job without having a college education.

I really wouldn't recommend taking online classes though. O_o To most employers it doesn't seem half as credible as going to an actual college.

EVERYBODY ALWAYS SAYS GO TO COLLEGE GO TO COLLEGE, WHEN I GRADUATED ITS SO HARD TO FIND A JOB. MOST EMPLOYERS PREFER PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE REGARDLESS OF YOUR DEGREES. SUCKS!
