Do you ever question what you believe or why you believe what you do?

One might stop believing some things and start believing other things. One's convictions might adjust and change from self reflection and examination of available information and evidence.

Exactly.  I would rather change my mind on what I believe than believe a lie.

Pascal's Wager

The argument that it is in one's own best interest to behave as if God exists, since the possibility of eternal punishment in hell outweighs any advantage of believing otherwise.

                                                    OR

"I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, Than to live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is."

To those that support the bible we read in Genesis Abraham questioning God right before HE destroys Sodom and Gomorrah and asks him,

Genesis 18:23
New International Version
Then Abraham approached him and said: "Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

Keep on reading and you will find God allows Abraham to understand HIS justice.

Its a good lesson because i am sure to those that believe in God we all have questioned HIM why HE does things.

This verse shows HE is patient and wants no one to be destroyed but also HIS justice will NOT be compromised. He wanted Abraham to understand.

I wasn't necessarily talking about belief in God with the original post.
As far as that, "the devil also believes, and trembles."
So what? We do no better than the devil when we say I believe.
There has to be more than just belief.

Who would have better faith and belief than Jesus. The first of all creation and the image of his father.

Yet his humiliation and agony must have been so great on that torture stake that he called out to his father,"why have you forsaken me"

Peter said he would never betray Jesus. And we all know he denied him 3X!!

Less not we forget we are all imperfect creatures and God sees the heart condition of us all what we really are!

That's right, I believe and I don't question it.......we are not saved by works but by our works is a result of us being saved.

And yet, we are told to "test all things, try them, prove whether they are of God..."

Sounds like questioning to me.

God gave us a mind that reasons. Why would we not use it?

Paints thats the problem.Sometimes the mind influences the heart to act on what we shouldnt do.

We all have said i wish i can take that back or have a do over.

All scripture is inspired by God for disciplining, teaching and setting matters straight.

It can save us from much heartache to put it first in our life and living by it.If we are taught it we can discern where it came from.Dont forget the bible says the devil is misleading the entire world and even he turns himself into an angel of light.

No I don't question what I believe. In fact, just growing and going through certain things, I'm even more convinced of what I believe.

Holy cow (no pun intended).  All conversations and questions about belief are not necessarily religious! (as was pointed out be the posting originator)
