Malware WARNING

When I clicked on the 2 cent Trivago video today it wanted me to update my viewing software, but it turned out to be malware that pretended to be a malware warning.  It took over my computer, changed my homepage, changed my search engine and is still appearing on Fusion cash even though I restarted my computer.  I have work to do, but I've been chasing this down for the last couple hours.  I've put in a support ticket about it, but felt I should warn the forum community.

They should scan their offers before posting them. This should not be happening in a supposed "safe" environment. I guess we have to click at our own risk. It might even be stated some where in their privacy or terms section.

that sucks!   Have you tried to do a system restore?   I've had that problem (not from Fusion Cash) and I did a system restore to a date previous to the one where you got the malware.   It worked for me.  You won't lose any of your data.   Not a computer expert by any means but system restore has helped me on numerous occasions.

My antivirus would definitely stop this, it stops everything even when its safe.

Thankfully I have not tried that one today;  I did the last few days but it would not show a video or anything.  Glad it didn't now!  Thanks for the heads up.
